Henry is 6 months!

I've been on this low all week and couldn't quite put my finger on it until tonight.  I'm genuinely sad at the rate my babies are growing up.  I know so many of my friends who dislike this stage of motherhood, but I seriously LOVE it.  I have this overwhelming feeling that these are the best days of my life and I am so sad at how quickly time goes by.

Oh Henry, HOW has it been 6 months since you were born?!! HOW?!!

At your 6 month visit, you were 29.5 inches (off the growth chart) and 20lbs exactly (90th percentile).  You are sitting on your own, babbling the most adorable little baby sounds, and eating solids.  Your favorite food so far is oatmeal baby cereal, and then sweet potatoes.....but only the canned sweet potatoes.  You weren't into the texture of the ones I made.  And honestly, the organic pre-made baby food is probably better than anything I'll make here, so I'm going to keep on buying it.  :)

You take 2-3 naps a day, and that all depends on whether or not you sleep through the night.  Most nights, you still wake up once to nurse, and most nights, it's just easier to feed you than hear you cry yourself back to sleep.  We did do cry it out and that worked for a few days, and then you were back up to waking.  You LOVE people and like your sisters, don't have an ounce of stranger danger. You are just so smiley, and I want to eat you all the time.

Thank you, Henry boy, for being the perfect addition to our little family!  We love you!

xoxo Momma

Winter!

Ok, I take back what I said about January last time.  Looking back at these photos, it wasn't a bad month.  Well, there was little man's RSV, and Eloise tangling up a remote control car in her hair, resulting in her first haircut, but for the most part, it was fun.  It definitely was the most exhausting though.  There was a point about 2 weeks ago where I couldn't even form a complete sentence.  RSV is no joke.

The first snowstorm of the season was a perfect one.  It happened on a Saturday which meant that Andrew was here to play! This photo makes me love our property so much!

The girls were eager to go out and play and I was eager to take pictures.

I kept Henry inside one more day, but he got to join us for an hour sledding on Sunday!

Kimi went sledding for the first time too!

Because of the storm, Andrew's Monday and Tuesday flights were cancelled, so he was able to work from YC all week.  That made for much more enjoyable mornings around here.

But sometimes, Mom still needs wine.

And we are all very happy when Andrew is home to play!

And sometimes we get brave enough to out to eat as a family of 5.  :)

Little man's sleeping habits could be better, so we cried it out last weekend.  He did his first 9-5pm, but of course, this week hasn't been so great.  I didn't have to feed him until 2:45am last night, so I'll call that a win for now.  I went to bed at 8pm, so I'm not a complete zombie today.

This Winter reminds me a lot of the one when Adalyn was a baby.  It's so warm.  On Monday, it was 60 degrees, so we made an impromptu trip to the beach for lunch.

I didn't have any socks for H-man, so my gloves served as a replacement.  Hey, 3rd kid, you know?
