Summer with 3!

So much has happened since we celebrated Eloise's third birthday that I feel like I should split this into multiple posts!  But alas, with our Michigan vacation on the horizon, I know this is the only time I'll get in the near future to post our updates.

I've now been a full time stay at home mama for over 3 weeks, and there is definitely nothing else I'd rather be doing.  Just like God had put it on my heart to start my business over 4 years ago, I felt a nudge that it was time to stop and focus on raising our 3 crazy monkeys.  I love being a momma more than anything, and even though it means doing it all on my own (because of Andrew's insane schedule), it's been manageable and I've been so much happier not having to balance the kids with my business.  It was hard to say good by to our Au Pair, but getting to be the one to play with the kids feels so right to me. I know so many moms who desire to do this, and can't because of financial reasons, and I'm so grateful for Andrew working so hard outside of the home!  It's been a financial adjustment for sure, but I know this is the start of something great for our family.

Speaking of family,  we said goodbye to Kimi on June 1st.  She really did become a part of family and we can't wait to see her when she visits for Henry's first birthday.

We are already standing down Henry's 11month milestone next week!! How?!!! I can't even handle that I am starting to plan his first birthday party and cake smash.  Henry has 2 bottom teeth that arrived at 10 months, eats EVERYTHING (bananas and eggs are his favorite), and he is cruising furniture, climbing stairs, opening drawers and will be walking in no time!  He sleeps 7:30-6:30pm, with about 2 naps a day.  Sometimes it's three shorter naps since he does tend to spend a lot of naps in the car.  He is just the best!

Eating outside is definitely one of my favorite parts of summer!

For Memorial Day weekend, we had a fun party with our church family, and also celebrated Kimi's time with us.

We also went to the beach with friends and of course, ate ice cream to kick off summer!

And just like that - boom- we have a preschool graduate!

Nonni came to visit for Adalyn's graduation and ballet recital.

My parents were kind enough to watch the kids for the weekend and Andrew and I headed off to Andrew's 10 Yr Yale College reunion.  It was SO fun to get dressed up and hang with just Andrew.

And our big girls 2nd ballet recital! The theme was Secret Garden and Adalyn was a poppy flower fairy.

Like I said before, it's been really special having my days free to be with the kiddos.  I was a bit nervous to take them all strawberry picking, but my friend Ashley and her son Wyatt came with us and we had an awesome time!

Andrew had to work on Father's Day, but we had a very special day with my parents and brother and Sarah at the Bronx Zoo!

All in all, this summer has been everything I hoped it to be.
