Here we are in 2017, feeling like Christmas came and went faster than I could actually blink!  It was such an awesome 2 week break though, because Andrew, for the most part, was home and we had almost zero plans.  We watched a lot of TV, I took my time getting out of bed, and we just really enjoyed it being the 5 of us.

For once, I was actually ahead of the game with wrapping and not scrambling to get everything done on Christmas Eve.

We baked cookies for Santa

Headed to church for our Christmas Eve service.  (love how the girls LOVE to get dressed up now)

Out for my family's tradition of Chinese food

We headed back to our house a little past the kids' bedtime and Andrew and I tried to get to bed early, since we figured they would all be up at the crack of dawn.

We were right!

It was weird having our tree in the dining room this year, but it definitely had to be gated off from Henry.

The kids had so much, and Adalyn was obsessed with her telescope.

Andrew continued his tradition of cooking us an awesome breakfast.

We headed back over to my parents where the kids were not without presents.  haha

It was a perfect Christmas day, and we were even treated to 60 degree weather the week after.  We take every opportunity to play outside very seriously during the winter time.

We stuck to our "no plans" plan for the week and it was glorious.  New Years Eve was also pretty laid back and we headed over for dinner with friends.

Getting to play with all of their new toys and use their awesome gift cards was definitely the highlight of the kids' week!
