We had such a warm February here that I was convinced Spring was on its way long before it actually had plans to show it's face. March has been freezing and we were even dealt a blizzard. Being cooped up at home is never my style, so I am so relieved to feel the 60 degree sunshine today and see just a few mounds of snow left.
Although closing my business and becoming a full time stay at home mom has been quite the adjustment, I have to admit that the slower paced family life is definitely better. The kids are calmer, I am less stressed, and all in all, it's been a positive transition.
It's been quiet here with few weekend plans, but we have been soaking up some family time. Before Winter returned in March, Andrew's mom and step dad came up to visit. Since it was 60 degrees, we headed to NYC and took the kids to the American Museum of Natural History for the first time, and took a stroll in Central Park. With 4 kids, I'm not sure when I'll see the city again!

Looking through my photos right now, I am realizing that these are the only "real" pictures I've taken since February. whoops! I'm sure I'll be picking up my big girl camera lot once baby is here though.
Speaking of baby - we've made it just past 36 weeks!! I can't believe that I am almost full term and that baby could decide to come any day now. I'm actually pretty eager for it to happen next week for a few reasons: 1) I am DYING to meet this sweet babe! I can't take the suspense any more. 2) I am not sleeping well and would rather be up with a newborn than peeing and rotating all night long 3) The girls' spring break is the 10th-14th and it would be ideal to have Andrew home that week and also that we have somewhat settled in already at home 3) The medication that I had to switch to for delivery is AWFUL. My injections are now twice a day and it's a lot more volume per injection and it just hurts a lot more. 4) I just feel like baby would be safer outside of me than in. 5) I have nothing left that fits me except for Andrew's clothes. 6) I just need to kiss these cheeks STAT:

I am however, hoping that we can somehow skip being in the hospital for Ellie's birthday. She is such a sweetheart that I know she would understand, but I can't help but feel like as the middle, she always gets the short end of the stick and I'd like to be able to celebrate with her. HOW is she almost 4?!!!

And out littlest is already almost 20 months. INSANE! Henry's 1.5yr well visit had him weighing in in the 90th percentile and the 95th percentile for height. In fact, he is only 1/2 lb less than our peanut Eloise.

I'd say this kid has no idea what is about to hit him.
I've been pretty intentional about savoring this time with the three of them because I know the crazy time that is coming.....it's just got to be hard to suddenly have your mom always holding and nursing a baby. I have a special day with Adalyn planned for tomorrow and I'll be introducing her to what it means to play hooky from school. She's only missed a few days this year for Thanksgiving break and illness and with very little snow days, I figured it can't hurt to give her a day with mama.
Speaking of snow days....they weren't so bad!
