Adalyn's Secret

Before I get into this fun post, I will tell you that the event on Thursday night was a smashing success!  Former President Clinton even showed up, and funny enough, I made Andrew run out into Times Square to get Pres. Clinton Diet Coke from a can (his specific request).   I will miss working with that organization, but I am SO greatful to no longer be splitting myself 3 ways.  I will now focus exclusively on family and photography.  wooohooo!!!

Speaking of family, it's an exciting night on the ACubed blog. But please, if you are friends with me on Facebook, don't post anything about what you see on my Facebook page.

Adalyn's Secret:

Yup, yup!  That's right - we are thrilled to announce that we are expecting #2 on April 15th 2013!

We will announce to the rest of the world on October 3rd, pending a good ultrasound that morning.  I know this blog has over 10K pageviews, but for some reason, I feel like you followers deserve to know now.  Plus, it's just felt so unnatural to not be blogging about the pregnancy, given how much it is affecting our lives.

It's been pretty much a repeat of the first trimester with Adalyn - only this time, I can't just shut my office door and pretend to working.  I have a toddler to chase around and it's obviously been a very busy few weeks.

I'm 11 weeks along now and the nausea is starting to lessen up a bit.  If only the fatigue would do the same!  I haven't been for a run since my Dr.'s appointment at 7 weeks, and I'm already on restricted activity due to the complications with Adalyn (see this post).  My OB told me to expect a repeat of the bedrest, but I'm hopeful and prayerful that it won't happen.  I will be monitored very closely and have an ultrasound every 2 weeks starting at 16 weeks.   I've got to get to bed, but more to come later in the week.

Oh and are you wondering how I told Andrew?  Here ya go!

  2. haha yes. I was actually surprised at how excited he was. I think that men don't really think about all that a new baby brings in until it's born.
