Happy New Year & 25 weeks!

As I write this, I am sitting on my mother in law's couch in Texas with a belly full of a 25w old and yummy egg casserole, pumpkin bread, and coffee.  I'm feeling pretty good for 6 months preggo, but definitely more tired, achy, and bigger than I was with Adalyn.  This is also a big week for me, as this was the week I was put on bedrest with Adalyn.  I get about 2-3 contractions a day, but nothing consistent or timeable, so I'm not worried.

We are having a good time down here...a much needed break from our daily routines.  The decision to not bring my laptop was a good one.  I can't edit a single photo I've taken on this trip, nor can I really do anything for work.  Don't worry, lots of pictures and stories to come when we are back on Friday.

How far along?: 25w 1day

How big is baby?: She is now the size of a cauliflower or 13.6 to 14.8 inches and weighs about 1.5-2.5lbs.  Today, it feels like she is on the upper end of that limit.

Weight gain/loss?: I haven't weighed myself in 2 weeks because I haven't been to the gym...Adalyn was sick and then I had the cold of all colds, but I'm guessing +20 at this point.  Heck, the way I've been eating down here, it's possible I'm at +25.

Stretch marks?:  none...please stay away!

Maternity clothes?:  Still in some regular shirts, but only maternity pants.  I also had to go up 3 cup sizes in my bra.  ummm, yea.

Sleep?:  I don't sleep well when not in my own bed, so it's a lot of tossing and turning this week.

Food cravings?: none really.  I just like to eat everything.

Gender?: sweet baby girl.  And status on her name...I'm wavering again.  I really thought we knew for sure, but now I'm 2nd guessing and want to look at all of our options again.

Movement?: it's still not very consistent, but she's there and I love feeling her.

Belly button?: I no longer think it will pop by the 3rd tri (2 weeks!). It's still an inny.  Shallower, but an inny.

Symptoms?:  I just feel pregnant.  It's this point in pregnancy when I don't understand how anyone could give birth to a baby and then say they didn't know they were pregnant.

I'm having a hard time with the body changes.  I just feel so huge, but continue to eat like a cow.  I went shoe shopping with my sister in law the other day and had to sit down to take my shoes on and off.  I can't balance or bend over my belly anymore. I know that swimming really helped me with Adalyn, so I plan on getting in the gym pool when we get back.

What are you looking forward to this week?:  A few more days off from reality.  I have a maternity session on Saturday and a newborn that was due on the 29th and still hasn't arrived.  Andrew still has a few weeks off from school but needs to go into the city for recruiting, etc.  We cleaned up and rearranged our home before we left and are planning on painting the upstairs hallway, bathroom and fixing up the basement as a playroom for the girls.  I love projects like this...especially when they mean a trip to Ikea. :)
