The End of Summer

It's sort of fitting that at the unofficial first week of Fall, I have quite the photo dump from the rest of our summer. It's hard to believe that it's already September and though I'm a bit sad that the end of pool and beach season is here, Fall is my favorite season of the year!  I already have my fall clothes and boots out.  In fact, everyone here is ready for Fall and I spent what was basically the entire weekend organizing all of Adalyn's new clothes, my new clothes (it had to be done - not gonna fit a size 0 again) and putting away all of E's "new to her" clothes.  I feel bad that she isn't really getting anything new, but Adalyn had quite the wardrobe as a baby, so Eloise certainly will feel in style.  :)

It was hard to give away bags and bags of my clothes, but I haven't worn those Fall/Winter items since the Fall/Winter of 2009.  Yup, I've been pregnant or nursing since November 2010.  And in all seriousness, I'd like to get pregnant again next August, so there goes yet another Fall/Winter of skinny clothes.  hehe

Most of our weekends this summer involved the pool.

And visits from family.

And grapes.

And Adalyn had her first flower girl experience.  I know I've blogged a few of these images, but oh my word....

I even got dressed up too! Too bad the children weren't into a photoshoot.

There were many days when I was just too tired to go anywhere with the girls.  So we played in our bedroom.

And we celebrated Adalyn's 2nd birthday with more family.

Sign of the times::

Adalyn, you had lots of friends come and play with you at the park on your birthday.  Papa, Gigi, your Aunt Bobbie, cousins Audrey and Ainsley, and your friends Adrienne, Catharine, Elodie, Ethan, Grace, Ken, Annie, Sam, and Elliot all came to swing on swings, climb the jungle gym, and eat cupcakes and watermelon with you.

Oh yea, sissy was there too.  :)

And then we went to the pool with friends...

And celebrated at Bertucci's for dinner since pizza is your favorite.  Mimi & Grandpa came too!

You cracked us all up when you got embarrassed at everyone singing Happy Birthday to you.

And my dearest Ellie, we've watched you grow up right before our eyes.  You have the sweetest disposition.

And despite what you might think from looking at these images, you actually love the water.

And your Grandpa and Mimi.

We are all very happy that Adalyn is still in her crib, though I am ready to have our bedroom back.  Once we do "Cry it Out" with Eloise, they'll finally share a room.

I think they'll do well together...

The last adventure of the Summer was our trip to TX.  I was quite impressed at how the girls did on the plane.  Thank you JetBlue for your wonderful TVs!

Papa's lakehouse was so much fun!

Where's my coffee??  lol

Andrew and I tried to get some workouts in...

And Ellie napped like a champ.  She still randomly falls asleep like this and it cracks me up.

And then it was time to take some big family shots. :)

As you can see, I didn't take too many images while we were in TX.  I was really feeling the burnout from work and needed a real break.  As busy season is upon me, I'm hoping that I can find the time to shoot for me and the family.  It really is what I love to do most. :)
