I wish I could say that January was flying by because it's definitely my least favorite month, but it's chugging along, and keeping us mostly indoors. It's probably not a great sign that I'm already begging for Spring. We had a dusting of snow this morning, and I decided that was the perfect amount. :)
Christmastime, however, FLEW by and it was so special this year with our new addition. 2015 was such an amazing year for our family and 2016 has a lot to live up to.
I couldn't let the Christmas season go by without getting pictures of the kiddos in their Christmas outfits. I knew that it was going to be too crazy to attempt it on Christmas Eve, so I brought them to the studio, and with Kimi's help, got these gems! I haven't had the time to edit them all, but here are some of my favorites!
These candids. I die. Eloise, you are hilarious. I love your silly little spirit and I pray it never changes.
Continuing with tradition, we headed to church for Christmas Eve service, out to dinner for Chinese food with my parents, and then back to their house to get our Christmas pjs from the pets! I cannot believe I didn't take any photos of this! Kimi and my Uncle Kenny joined us as well.
We then headed back to our house to put out cookies and milk for Santa.
And we couldn't forget the carrots for the reindeer.
Santa delivered, and I think the girls were overwhelmed!
Eloise specifically asked for a purse.
Adalyn wanted an Owlette costume from her new favorite show, PJ Masks. Unfortunately PJ Masks is so new that you can't buy anything for it! Thankfully, Santa knew some amazing sellers on Etsy who came through.
Sweet Henry boy got some "boy" toys!
After opening our presents, we had a delicious breakfast of an egg casserole by Andrew and homemade sticky buns from my mom!
Then I thought it would be a great idea to try and take pictures of the kids. What I learned? It's never really a great idea to try and take pictures of the kids. lol
Can we talk about our Christmas tree for a second? This darn tree NEVER drank any water and by the time Christmas day came around, you couldn't even brush against it without it shedding hundreds of needles. I'll have a tough time convincing Andrew to chop down another tree for next year, especially considering the crazy toddler we will have running around and grabbing the tree!
We hosted Christmas here and I had fun breaking out my china again!
It was so special getting to have Uncle Kenny here.
And because it was 50+ degrees, we all played outside for a bit!
Thanks for dressing for the occasion, Andrew.
My dad and Uncle Kenny took us girls ice skating during the weekend! It was SO much fun and I really hope we can do it more often.
And because Mr. Henry is refusing bottles at the moment, we started him on solids in hopes of him relying on me for food so much. He has taken to it pretty well!
New Year's came and went.
We took it pretty easy and just went out to dinner as a family and then to a friend's party on New Year's Day. Both Henry and Eloise fell asleep on the way to dinner and were not super excited to be there.

Anyway, life is good. Life is crazy. Life is fun. Love these babies of mine.
And I'm excited for this year. It seems like almost every year, we have some big thing happening in our lives...a new baby, business school, graduation, job hunting, house hunting, pregnancy, a new baby, an Au Pair, etc. This year, I'll be transitioning to a full time stay at home momma and shutting down my business come June. It just feels like the right time to focus on these little munchkins and we are blessed to be able to pull that off financially. When it comes down to it, the desires of my heart have just changed, and the stress of managing a full time business along with everything else has just been too much. I'll still do shoots here and there, but for the most part, I'll be done working outside of the home.....I couldn't be more ready for this next chapter! Bring it, 2016.
