THAT TIME YOU FOUND THIS IN YOUR DRAFTS 2 MONTHS LATER.....
Baby girl, you are 5 today. In just one month, you will start Kindergarten. You won't want to have your daily lunches with me anymore, and soon, you might even get embarrassed if your friends see us kiss good bye in the morning. I wish I could rewind time and smell your baby smell again, play peek a boo with you around the corner, have you beg for me to lay with you at night for just fiiiiive more minutes. You never want me to help you get dressed anymore and you like to brush your own hair, put the toothpaste on yourself, buckle yourself in the car. I'm so proud of who you have become and of your independence, but I am incredibly emotional about how fast these years have gone by.

I wonder if I've loved you enough, hugged you enough, taught you enough about right and wrong and about God's love for you. My prayer for you as you embark on this next chapter of your life is that you make new friends, strengthen your inner confidence, fail at some new things so that you can see how awesome it feels to get back up, and that you never let your wild and determined spirit be crushed by the mean words of someone else. The school social scene can be hard. I pray that you will be a girl who stands up for others, one that builds people up and only speak words that make souls stronger. I pray that you will continue to enjoy your childhood with the same amount of energy and charisma that you have now. Happy 5th Birthday baby girl. I love you more than I ever thought was possible and I'm so very proud to be your mommy.
