phew! I was so excited to be getting a rare double nap from the boys while the girls are at camp, and I was really looking forward to getting to update our blog, but Charlie is up again! I love writing, but it's completely impossible with a baby that STILL hates to be put down, hates the swing, and all pacifiers. boohoo Charlie is crying his little pterodactyl cry right now and staring at me to pick him up, but I at least want to get the starting paragraph going here and begin the photo upload! haha
Four children is hard for so many reasons, but the hardest for me is the inability to get anything done, or complete any task There is always someone who needs to eat, be changed, there is always dirty laundry and clean laundry to fold and put away, always tasks during the day that I can't get done (unload the dishwasher, just make a simple dentist appointment! read: NEED a cleaning). Ugh. My personality doesn't do well with chaos and unchecked off to-do items, but alas, I'm doing it, chugging along and learning to accept that pretty much everything is out of my control these days. The only thing I've done consistently is make it to the Y to workout....and I shower every day. yay! I don't always get to wash my hair or put on makeup, but if I've taken care of myself for just one hour a day, I can usually manage quite well. Life is also just crazy fast with 4. The days don't go by slowly for me at all. I have 3 hours in between getting back from the Y and picking the girls up from camp, and once again, I am astonished that all I've been able to do is feed and change the boys, get Henry down for a nap, pump (Charlie took a bottle in the daycare), make myself lunch and do a quick body only (no hair) shower....oh and write this paragraph. haaaaaaaaaalp. I suppose I'm extra stressed this week because Andrew is traveling, so all of the packing leading up to Michigan is up to me. I haven't been making to-do lists because I get upset when things don't get done, but I'm definitely going to have to do that this week! Thankfully, Mr. Charlie man is a great sleeper at night - terrible napper during the day, but hey, I'll take what I can get.
Looking back at these photos, I can't believe how much time with Charlie has passed already! I actually started tearing up looking back at my last post. I want that newborn time back already! I'm so sad that he is growing up so fast, but also really excited for all of the stages to come with him. I've definitely made peace with him being our last baby, so I'm just trying to soak it all up. I still feel so guilty about less time with the others though. I'm really looking forward to Michigan and hoping to get some one on one time with each of my babies - they need it, and so do I.
Henry is doing great as a big brother. We had a few weeks where he was hitting Charlie, and that was really hard, but now they are SO cute together. And Henry saying "Chaeey" is the cutest thing ever.
Adalyn was on her first t-ball team and LOVED it. She didn't mind one bit that she was the only girl.
Before the the school year ended, I was able to get some alone time with Eloise while Henry napped.

My Nonni and Uncle Kenny all came up to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday, so I had to grab some family photos as well.
FAVORITE - and literally the last snap of the camera before I gave up on Henry. lol
Charlie had no choice but to just go with the flow of the family. He was at his first t-ball game at 9 days!

One month flew by! By the way, is he not just the most beautiful looking thing?! His face is so perfect and even with the old man looking hairless pattern he had going on.....
Miss Eloise had her first dance recital in June, and joined Miss Adalyn at their Circus themed recital!
I am just so proud of them both!!
And it wouldn't be June without our annual strawberry picking trip! This year, I went with some of my best friends and their kiddos.
This kid just ate the strawberries whole.
Andrew's dad and Jill came for a visit too.
Father's Day was spent with the dads and a Slip n Slide!
And before I knew it, we were celebrating this handsome man's 2 month birthday!
Charlie was sleeping 11pm-7am which was AMAZING, but now is doing 7:30pm-3:30pm and then wakes to quickly nurse and then up again around 7. I'm not a fan of the middle of the night wake up, and really miss our time together after everyone else is in bed. But, I am finding some relief in the kidless 8-10pm hours. I just can't believe that newborn time is over!
We rolled right from Spring into Summer with 2 weeks of Vacation Bible School for the girls, and then 2 weeks of camp of camp at the Y. The girls are busy 9-3 all day, and that's been a nice break for me and a really fun time for them.
I love all that summer brings!
In Mimi's hot tub!
We stayed in the CT for the 4th this year and had an awesome 4 day long weekend with Andrew. We decided to be brave and spend a fun day in Southhampton. It was awesome and will definitely be a part of our summer traditions going forward. The kids played in the sand all day and we all had so much fun just hanging out as a family.
We came back home to watch the town fireworks the next evening, and then had a very relaxing day at home on the actual holiday.
Getting photos of the kids isn't always easy, but I never ever quit!!

We are off to our annual trip to Michigan in a few days, and then somehow, it will already be August! Life is fast with four, but it's also fabulously fun. See what I did there? ;)
