(I admit, we went a bit overboard with the size, but froze half of it. It was an impulse buy at the infamous Stew Leonards.)
We tried a sippy cup (again) and failed.
She'll get the hang of it one day. And the rest of the work week flew by. The weather was incredible for the start of February and we went on quite a few walk/jogs. On Wednesday, I had a trial date with our new nanny, Kayla. I went to go mail a package and to the grocery store. I was a lot less anxious than I expected to be. I'll be working from home Wednesdays 10-1, going into the office (40 min. away!) Thursdays 8-1, and then working again from home Friday from 10-1. It really is the best of both worlds, but I have a ball in my stomach just thinking about going in on Thursday. This job is the launch of my own events and photography business, so I'm super excited, but realllllly wishing there was some way I could bring Adalyn with me.
We had a great day on Saturday in Mystic, CT. One of my best friends from college had a little boy named Beckett last September. Her husband's job takes them across the country for most of the year, but we were able to squeeze in a visit before they left the northeast. We went out for a yummy lunch at S&P Oyster and then headed off to Mystic Aquarium.
Adalyn was in awe of the fish. Seeing her stare in amazement and then smile at the glass was incredible. Yes, I am trying to create a mini-me that is obsessed with dolphins, whales, sharks, and fish. Hey, she looks nothing like me, so I've got to have something.
So many of the photos I took were blurry...result of low light and slooooow shutter speed, but I did get to practice with my speedlite!
Andrew was pretty excited about the blue lobster.
These two babies were obsessed with each other!
And brace yourself....she had her first kiss from a boy!
Yes, it bugs me to no end that I focused on their hands!
We ended the weekend with a fun Superbowl party at our friend's house. Adalyn was out about 30 min. after kickoff, so Andrew and I actually got to have some fun!
