19 weeks

How far along?: 19w 3days

How big is baby?:
At about 6.0 inches long and weighing in at about 8.5 ounces, she's getting there!  Developing a protective coating over her skin, called vernix caseosa. It's greasy and white and I may see some of it at her birth.  Working on her five senses. Nerve cells for her sense of taste, hearing, sight and smell are developing in her brain.

Weight gain/loss?: +10.  Yikes.  But I can't really be upset about when it's meant indulging in 2 girls night outs, danishes from Costco and eating ALL of the homemade pink oreos our nanny brought over.  Thank goodness for the gym.

Stretch marks?:  still none.

Maternity clothes?: I'm still in that annoying in between stage and the maternity pants that I was wearing with Adalyn at this point are still too big, but I can barely even zipper my regular pants.  I'm feeling so blah lately and having clothes that don't fit doesn't help.  My skin in dry, I'm in desperate need of a haircut and I really could use a mani/pedi.  Yup, I think I think I need a spa day, since a massage wouldn't be too bad either ;)

Sleep?:  SO much better!  It only took one Tylenol PM last Thursday night, and my body then just remembered what to do - stay asleep!  It's been wonderful.

Food cravings?: Hi, my name is Alex and I like sugar.

Gender?: GIRL, GIRL, GIRL!!!  Can you tell I'm excited?!  We obviously would have loved to have a son as well, but there is just something so exciting and special to me about being the mom of 2 little girls.  Andrew and I have always planned on 3, and this basically guarenteed that we will try for one.  He even made the comment that we are now more likely to have 4, since we would have to try for a boy if the 3rd is a girl.  Please note: Unless I get some clear command from the The Big Man Upstairs, we are stopping at 4, boy or no boy.

Movement?: More consistent movement throughout the day.  I just love it.  Andrew still can't feel it from the outside yet, but it's just a matter of time before this little gets strong enough.

Belly button?: same as last week. I'm starting to see more of the inside.

Symptoms?:  Almost symptom free. Oh glorious 2nd tri, how I love thee.

What are you looking forward to this week?:  Well Andrew is off for most of the week and that means someone else to make breakfast, change diapers, and an adult to have dinner with.  We are tag-teaming on cooking for Thanksgiving dinner tonight and heading over to our good friend's house.  There will be 8 kids age 4 and under - should be interesting, but at least there is one adult for every child!!
