Late Hump Day Bump Day | 16 weeks

How far along?: 16w 3days

How big is baby?: Baby is now the size of an avocado!  Watch what you say...tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean he/she can now pick up your voice.  A few more minuscule changes:  Eyebrows, lashes, and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming.

Weight gain/loss?: +6 according to the gym scale.  I have an OB appt later today and we will see how much the gain is by their scale.

Stretch marks?:  still none.

Maternity clothes?: Nope, and since we've been cooped up due to weather, I've been wearing pajamas and sweatpants this week anyway.

Sleep?: Still some nights of super annoying insomnia.

Food cravings?: Chocolate seems to be winning over these days.  I didn't want even a taste of it during the 1st tri, but can't seem to get enought of it now.

Gender?: Ok, so intuitively, I'm thinking boy.  Whenever I think about this baby, I picture it being a boy.  buuut, intellectually, I think it has to be a girl.  This pregnancy is so similar to Adalyn'
s.

Movement?: A faint kick here or there, but nothing consistent yet.

Belly button?: no change.

Symptoms?:  I'm pretty tired this week and just can't seem to shake it.

What are you looking forward to this week?:  We were extremely blessed to have not even lost power during hurricane Sandy.  Many of our friends were not so lucky, so in addition to being a shelter for our friends without power, we went down to the coast to help out friends who had 6ft of water in their home.  We got there and quickly realized that bailing thousands of gallons out with buckets was not going to work and thankfully, one of their neighbors let them borrow a pump.  It's just complete destruction along the coast and it's just really sad.  Andrew's school is shutdown through Saturday since lower Manhattan is still virtually inaccessible via public transit.  I'm just amazed at how much damage this storm caused and again, feeling really blessed to not only have power and a home, but to have Andrew home all week.
