21 weeks and mishmash

How far along?: 21w 4days

How big is baby?: She(!) is now the size of a
pomegranate or 10.5 inches.  Her womb is also now stocked up with her lifetime supply of 6 million eggs (the number drops to 1million at birth).  How crazy!

Weight gain/loss?: no gym this week due to crazy schedule, but I'm going in the a.m. and fully expecting it to be +15

Stretch marks?:  none...yet, but if I keep eating the way I've been, I can only expect some.

Maternity clothes?: Yessss, but not today.  I rocked sweats and larger shirts.

Sleep?:  If I wasn't up editing until 11 every night, I'd be well rested.

Food cravings?: cupcakes, brownies, icecream, brownies with icecream, and well, basically, I like to stick to the four main food groups:  candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup ;)

Gender?: sweet baby girl.  AND she has a name!!!!

Movement?: not as much as last week, which makes me nervous, but I'm pretty sure that's the anterior placenta coming into play.

Belly button?: I think it will pop by the third trimester.

Symptoms?:  I just feel large and hungry all the time.  You think that feeling large would make me not eat so poorly, but nope, I have no control.  Back to the gym tomorrow.

What are you looking forward to this week?: I'm looking forward to photography slowing down.  I have a mini maternity session next week, and well, that's it!  I have a newborn due at the end of the month, but I'm hoping this means I can finally begin to focus on learning more about studio lighting, and enjoying the season.

Speaking of Christmas, we did end up getting our tree last weekend.  We didn't cut in down ourselves, but picking it out in the parking lot of Stew Leonards was all we could manage.

P.S.  I got a new phone a few weeks ago, and I'm really disappointed in the camera quality.  sigh.

yup, we do color lights in our house.  Adalyn is doing really well with the tree and seems to only be interested in the candy canes.  {{momma's girl}}

And a funny story.  I finally decided that being a good mom meant teaching my daughter to eat with utensils.  And in one day, she mastered the spoon.  She was frustrated at first, but then got the hang of it and was quite pleased with herself.

So much so, that she will ask for a "poon" and no longer lets me feed her.  This might sound like less work for me, but no, the cleanup is ridiculous.

We went to CBS (Community Bible Study) this Thursday and Adalyn was unusually clingy to me.  It was my group's lunch day, and Adalyn decided that 9:30-11:30 was too much without mommy {{LOVE}} and they brought her to me upstairs.  So she had lunch with us.  Which happened to be chili.  Which happened to need "poons".  Poons were everywhere.  And within two seconds, she had a plastic poon in her mouth and was going around the room dipping her way into other's chili and feeding herself.  I was a bit mortified, but even the lady who had her entire dollup of sour cream stollen from her bowl, thought it was adorable.

In addition to being a clingy towards me this week, she also hasn't wanted to go anywhere without her kuck.  Her what, you say?  Let me show you...

Yes, I meant duck.  But Adalyn who says dada dada dada all the time, just can't get the 'd' in duck.  Mr. Kuck and her met at Homegoods when I was shopping for some photo props.  She pointed out the kuck in the store, and I was so excited that she recognized what it was, I made the mistake of putting it in the cart.  Mr. Kuck comes along for most errands now...

I think this is my favorite age so far. Can I just hit the pause button?  We have the most awesome daughter in the world.

16 months and dunkin' it at the Little Gym.

Best Groupon decision ever.

Yup, she's going to be performer of some kind.  Heck, she already is.
