Mish Mash start of Summer

And somehow, just like that, wooosh, spring is gone and summer is here.  I love both seasons so much, but I don't like how time seems to just be flying by.  The days just roll into weeks and I'm so thankful that I have my camera to help us remember it all.

Andrew's summer gig has him working 14 hour days plus some Saturdays, and my business has really started back up again.  I'm not complaining, because I LOVE what I do, but I still don't have this whole childcare thing figured out yet.  I've basically been a full time mom with a part time job, and well, I'm tired!  Thankfully, my mom is back in town next week and Adalyn will be starting part time at a daycare at the end of the month.  It's a home daycare just a 5 minute walk away, and the lady who owns it happens to teach Sunday School at our church!  Talk about a perfect answer to our prayers.

Lately, I've just felt incredibly blessed.  Blessed to have these 2 amazing little girls and blessed to have a job that I love that allows me to stay home with them.

So much has happened here in the last few weeks!  My grandmother, Nonni, came to visit from Florida.

And we've made LOTS of trips to the local parks.  Every morning that is sunny starts with a jog/walk to the park in our double jogger.  Hey, I have to get exercise somehow!

Adalyn is such a big girl now.  Big slides and all...

Sometimes I get hit in the face.

But more often than not, I get hugs.

Ellie went to her first parade.

And Addy loved the firetruck.  She was upset she couldn't ride in them.

We had some ninety-something degree days last week, but that didn't stop us from our morning routine.

"I'm a pirate!!"

Have we talked about her long fingers yet?

One of my awesome clients sent me this for Eloise, so she became a mermaid for an afternoon!

Does every mom of little girls think their daughters are the most beautiful things on this planet?  Because I sure do.

Time together as a family of four is rare these days, but when we are together, we make the most of it!  We joined our town pool again, and well, wise decision...

New favorite image.

shhhhh, baby's sleeping.

We ended our pool day last Saturday with a Chipotle picnic at the local park.  mmmmm yes!

And more often than not, Sunday evenings mean dinner at my parents.  We are so lucky to have them close by.

Have we talked about this one's curls?!

And this took just a biiiiiit of work, but I got another photo with my girls!

I get most things done, including editing, by wearing Miss Ellie like this:

And then there was this one time, when I left them like this, went to the bathroom, and Adalyn was laying on top of Eloise!  I pretty much had a heart attack.  Thank God E was ok!

When your mom is a photographer and a major pushover, timeouts can just turn into a photoshoot...

And being a photographer of newborns, I meet a lot of young moms in the area.  We went to the aquarium with one of my clients this morning.  Seriously, it's like God had my life planned out all along. ;)

With that, I'm caught up on my 365 project and this blog.  I still have to change our domain and header image, but I'll get there.  Here's to another fun weekend!
