THANKSgiving

It had been a while since I went to sleep with a giant smile on my face.  It's not that I haven't been happy - just that I've been exhausted and busy and sick and tired and preoccupied and sinus infection ridden on top of the happy.  But Thursday night I really did go sleep SO happy and SO grateful for our loving families, for our sweet and precious little girls, for our marriage, for our home, for our FAITH, for A LOT of things….for the tangible and intangible.  Trying to redeem myself from last year's almost photo-less Thanksgiving, I took about a bunch of pictures.  :)

The day started with breakfast.  Eloise went first, fed cereal by Grandma.

And Andrew continued our tradition of yummy breakfast.

Adalyn spent the morning having a tea party with Thomas, Gordon, and Elmo in the playroom.  I love that she has such an imagination now….and that she can play by herself somewhat unsupervised.  ;)

Elles Belles hung out on the couch with KP, while I just continued to stare at the print orders on my desk that need to go out.  Despite having 2 sessions this weekend, I took most of it off!

After breakfast, we headed over to my parent's for an early Thanksgiving dinner.

Ellie loved the walker (first time).

I admired my mom's beautiful table.

And continued to snap away.  :)

Grandma teared up over the blessing.

Lil' monk tried some mashed potatoes.

And played with a turkey a leg.

Adalyn was not having any of it until….

I seriously crack up every time I look at those.

Andrew's mom and stepdad headed back to TX, and we brought the girls back to our place around 7:30.  Then Andrew and I watched the Ravens/Steelers game (so good!) and headed off to bed.

Such a perfect day and so many things to be thankful for.

Catching Sleep and Fire

I'm in an exceptionally good mood today.  And it probably has to do with what a great weekend we had.  I'm finally over the hump of busy season and able to catch up on sleep and personal stuff….you know, like the latest Hunger Games flick, Catching Fire.

Everyone except Andrew has been sick the last 2 weeks, and even though Adalyn is sporting a 102.5 random fever today, things are looking up.  Andrew's mom and stepdad got into town Friday evening and we headed out to the YaleHarvard game on Saturday, and even brought along my dad!

It was COLD and windy, but it was so fun to take the girls and to show them where Daddy played.

((  He's a far cry from his playing days, but still looks good. ;)  ))

I busted out my big camera to catch these keepers::

Ellie got lots of extra snuggles since it was so chilly,
and that's just the way she likes it.  :)

And Adalyn found the track field.  :)

After being stuffed on beer and chili, Andrew and I headed out to Whole Foods, bought a bunch of sushi, stuffed it into my giant purse, and enjoyed sushi and Catching Fire.  You guys, this movie is seriously amazing.  I want to go back and see it again it was so good!

Sunday was a great church service, and then I was able to get all caught up on editing.  Adalyn got some snuggles from Grandma and we could tell she was starting to not feel well...

I have the most adorable video of this girl on the couch, and I'm finally going to have time to go down to the Verizon store tomorrow and find out what's going on with my phone!

So many cute things on there, like Adalyn's Community Bible Study singalong.   To come…I promise :)
