3 MORE WEEKS. That's right. Three weeks from tomorrow, I can kiss my part-time job good-bye and focus exclusively on Adalyn and my photography business. We are finishing off the three weeks hard. Knowing that this business is going to be sustained on referrals, I'm taking every single photo job that comes my way.
This week hasn't been any easier on Andrew. He actually just spent last night at his friend's apartment in NYC and plans to stay again tonight. Poor thing had a "field trip" to the US Open last night and has a late harbor cruise tonight. Really? Yes, but I know launch weeks ends tomorrow and then it's on to a more typical school schedule.
We are both super-excited for this weekend. Andrew is the best man at his friend's wedding in Vermont, and I get to play photographer. To top it off, my mom and dad are watching Adalyn Friday through Monday morning. This will be the longest time I've ever spent away from her. I know I am going to miss her terribly, but I'm grateful to have some alone time with Andrew and to not have to worry about the random babysitter that was going to be watching Adalyn at the hotel.
I hate wishing time away, but I've found myself too frequently yearning for the weekend. But the weekends are just so great. I mean, look, last weekend included a friend's birthday party and the Super Duper Weeny Truck!!
FYI: Adalyn loves french fries. And our friend, Frank.
We are trying hard not to let our workout routines go with our crazy schedule, but it's happening. After the party on Saturday, we headed over to our town park. I wasn't feeling a run, so Andrew went off by himself and I did a little workout on the outdoor fitness center. I was pretty impressed with the workout I was able to get by only using my own body weight for resistance. It felt good to have sore arms on Sunday morning!
I can't wait until Adalyn is old enough to workout with me.
The pacifier. That thing needs it's own post.
