You know those weekends that seem to go by too fast? You wake up on Monday morning and exclaim, "How can this be?!" Well, this weekend felt the complete opposite of that. It felt perfectly long and left us feeling rejuvenated for another busy week ahead. Andrew got home at 6pm on Friday (woohoo!) and his brother and brother's girlfriend were visiting from Texas. Per usual for a fall Saturday, we headed out to the Yale home football game with my homemade turkey chili and cornbread.
Even though Yale has not been playing too well, it's always fun to see a lot of Andrew's old teammates. We have become good friends over the years and we even found that one of our favorite couples are also expecting in April 2013. Exciting!
And me last year:
It's amazing what a difference a year a can make! And don't be fooled by the below photo. They are not talking football. They are talking all things baby! I think they were specifically discussing ultrasounds in this one. lol.
Uncle Eric chased Adalyn all over the field.
And to say that Adalyn adored Jenna would be an understatement.
With a few hours to kill before the both the UT and the Notre Dame games, we headed off to our favorite grocery store, Stew Leonards, to not only by some yummy pre-gaming food, but to also ride their hayride. Adalyn once again was not a big fan. Her reaction last year:
It was like she remembered....
I think we will try it again when I remember my flash. But Daddy always makes everything better.
