How far along?: 14w 2days
How big is baby?: Baby's now the size of a lemon!
Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine, and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys, and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over her body for warmth.
Weight gain/loss?: no scale at home, but I'm sure I'm gaining.
Stretch marks?: still none.
Maternity clothes?: not yet, but the jeans don't button. I resorted to the elastic trick for now. I'm not ready for maternity pants.
Sleep?: Not too bad. I just have to wake up in the middle of the night to pee and that's just plain annoying.
Food cravings?: Yes. I wanted a chocolate creme donut from Dunkin Donuts today. The kind with the powered sugar and chocolate frosting in the middle. Why yes, I did indulge and I might have looked like this after:
Gender?: Anatomy scan is still set for the morning of 11/15 and then I will have to be strong and not look at the sealed envelope for 2 whole days! We will be doing that gender reveal photoshoot on that Saturday morning. I'm still excited and I still think it's a girl like I did last week.
Movement?: nope, maybe one flutter here or there.
Belly button?: no change.
Symptoms?: I've had some nausea this week, but it's nothing like before. All in all, I'm doing pretty well and can't complain.
What are you looking forward to this week?: I have 10 mini sessions scheduled for Saturday and I'm pretty excited about that. And as long as the weather holds and I don't have to reschedule for Sunday, we are having a family day on Sunday and getting and carving our pumpkins. With this, comes baked pumpkin seeds and I've been wanting them for a while now!
