This is what Andrew said to me last night while he was watching her play on the floor. I was on the couch (Addy out of view) and working on my LinkedIn profile. She was rolling around, back to front, front to back, until she could reach the underneath of the coffee table. She doesn't get the whole crawling thing yet. Of interest? My dolphin needlepoint kit that I bought when I was on bedrest and never started. Perhaps the colors of the thread were appealing? Either way, it was a wakeup call that we need to start childproofing. There was a decent size needle in there. I know the days of leaving her on the blanket to play while I try to get things done are coming to an end. For example, this is how I left her this morning while I went to go start our crockpot dinner:
Plenty to play with and entertain her, right?
Well, I heard her joyfully shreaking in the background and turned around to find her playing with her sock (the "baby's can't get these off"socks mind you).
Not dangerous, but still, she will pick up anything.
As I plan on doing some part time work from home, I'm realizing that we might need to find a babysitter a few hours a week. Sigh.
Isn't she just the cutest thing though?
Yes, she is the cutest thing! She looks like a big girls from just the past couple of months since I've seen her!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how much she's changed in the 2 weeks - it's crazy! LOVE your bow tie post. Adorable.
ReplyDeleteYes, she is the cutest thing I've seen in about ten+ years (since my LAST grandchild, that is!). :) The "sitting up" thing just astounds me-- she seems so much older. SLoooooooooow down, Addy!
